My dogs were always getting sick …

I used to feed them processed dog food, canned and/or dried, that we bought from the supermarket, all enhanced formulas, added vitamins etc. However, my dogs always seemed to have some kind of rash, fur falling off, bad breath, gum disease and the list goes on and on. My vet had no answer either, he was not sure why our dogs had these problems and even though the medication he gave seemed to work, it only offered short-term relief.

I started cooking fresh liver and rice, mince and rice or potatoes and a whole range of foods that were as natural as I could get them without blowing out my budget. The problem with most commercially processed pet foods today is that they are full of chemicals, flavour enhancers, colours and all kind of additives... just to make them palatable. These additives are simply not good and research has shown that they can cause a wide range of diseases in dogs. Chemical Preservatives - BHA, BHT or ethoxquin are considered by many professionals to be harmful to animals.

What are these natural treats made of?

They have a long-term business relationship with these companies and they produce only human grade food. All the meat off cuts are sent to them in a frozen export packed state. At The Natural Pet Treat Company they trim the beef to size, tray them up onto clean trolleys and put the trolleys into a stainless steel dryer. They then dehydrate the products very slowly over a long period of time so none of the nutritional value is lost, export pack and ship it. They do not add anything to the off cuts nor has anything been added at any stage before they receive the frozen meat and bone, just real meat and bone without any additives whatsoever.
