Welcome to the Old Bat's Cave!

The Old Bat is actually called Linsey and selling on ebay is a hobby which I really enjoy. I collected postcards for many many years, from being a child (that is a long time ago lol!) but I decided that the time had come to let someone else enjoy my collection, as lack of space means that I no longer have room to collect and store them properly and I don't have the time to enjoy them any more, but I am enjoying looking at them as I get them out again to sell. Also good for hubby's geography!

Fly on in for a browse - you may just find that one you've been searching for to complete your collection.

Or maybe you'll find one to bring back happy memories of times gone by - what ever you find, you can be sure that I will try to describe it accurately, with any information I have which may be relevant and useful. But I am only human and do make mistakes sometimes - as I'm sure you do, sometimes!

And I'm not the world's best typist.

Packaging is normally a new envelope, with a plastic wrapping and a cardboard stiffener in the envelope (this will probably be recycled material).

I try to post items on the same day I receive payment, or the next day at the latest, other commitments permitting - unfortunately, I don't always have time to rush straight around to the postbox or post office!

I hope that you will leave feedback as soon as your item arrives, so that I know it has reached you safely, and I will then leave your feedback.

If you have a problem, please let me know and I will do the same - I understand that life has it's ups and downs and will be as helpful as I can if there is something which is causing you difficulty.

I have had very few incidences of non-received items, but it does happen on occasion. I will not be responsible for items once I have entrusted them to the care of the Royal Mail, so if you want recorded delivery, you can have it, if you request it and on payment of the appropriate fee.  If you want me to get proof of posting, please tell me.

If I'm buying from you, you can expect payment quickly and in return, I hope that you will post my item quickly.

I do not like to leave negative feedback and will try to avoid having to, but I will, if I have to! My patience does sometimes run out with sellers who don't deliver what they have supposedly advertised or take ages to send an item when the postage would have covered first class special delivery! As you all know, sellers have no comeback on bad buyers now and that is not very fair but there isn't a lot we can do about it, except block them.

I hope that your ebay experience will be a good one and you'll come back every now and again to see if there's anything there to interest you..

One day, I'll have cleared out all the surplus and then I won't know what to do with myself!
