About Jonlyn
Jonlyn was born out of a simple desire to create a shop where an 'old hippy' could feel at ease. During my wanderings over the internet I rediscovered my love of the mystical mountains of the himalayas and with the superb skill of the silversmiths of Nepal available. Jonlyn was created.
During this time my wife became interested in my research and I became We.
Watching Jonlyn's development from a desire to reality has been surprising at times but very enjoyable. As we grow we will continue to research other suppliers to bring you more of the beautiful jewellery from asia.
Thoughout the ages the tradition and knowledge of the Nepalese silversmiths have been passed from generation to generation and so it remains today. All our jewellery is crafted from 925 silver ( 92.5% pure ) and in many cases by traditional methods unchanged for many. many years and from natural precious and semi-precious gemstones.
At the moment we have two main suppliers, one in Kathmandu ( Nepal ) and the other in Rajasthan ( India ) both of whom have a commitment to both the quality of their jewellery and to the lives of the artisans who produce them.
As time goes on and the shop evolves as it must we will be introducing changes, some minor, some major, some will be successful others not so. In this your comments would be most welcome.
