My name is Evangelos or Angelos for short. I started as an amateur but I am now a professional fossil dealer with 11 years experience in palaeontology. I live in the Peterborough area of Cambridgeshire, England but have travelled widely to many of England's counties in search of fossils. My passion is in vertebrate fossils. I have discovered new fossils and I am still researching some of them. In this time, I have written and had published 3 books on fossils. These can be bought from my ebayshop and indeed many other organisations. I studied at the Jack Hunt Comprehensive school in Peterborough and I graduated from the University of Hull in 1985.

I started my fossil retail business on the 1st March 2004 and have been a verified paypal business user since. Fossiliferous is my trademark but I trade under my own name. I am one of the few UK members of the Association of Applied Paleontological Sciences. In 1996 I discovered the first bones of an elephant Palaeoloxodon antiquus near Market Deeping, Lincolnshire. The skeleton was later excavated by others and subsequently went on display at Peterborough Museum. I have donated several of my finds to museums and will continue to do so in the cause for research. For those interested, my ebay name ophthalmosaur is taken from the only known ichthyosaur genus thus recorded from the Oxford Clay and is fairly common in the Peterborough district. Ophthalmosaurus icenicus (the specific name refers to an ancient tribe ruled by the famous Queen Boudica... bane of the Romans!)
