Greetings from Bonnie Scotland
Dear Ebay friends,Thanks for logging in...My favourite music is black Gospel music, and my favourite singer of all time has to be Della Reese. After Della, ( listen to her interpretation of "Being Green",from the album "Let me in your life"),love also some of the more obscurer singers such as Baby Washington,Dinah too,and Dakota Staton.. .Would dearly loved to have been at a concert of Morgana King,(what a voice). She can make something like "Could it be Magic",(yes the Manilow song),into a real classic. One of my favourite male singers is Dick Haymes(check out his "My favourite colour is blue").And,I've always really loved Richie Havens........
Douglas Adams,(a fav.author of mine),wrote a book of humourous definitions,(to be taken tongue in cheek)....For "Hextable" he wrote "The record you find in someone else's collection which instantly tells you you could never go out with them"....Here's two of my "Hextables".1.Grace Slick did some great stuff like "White Rabbit",but one of the worst records of all time has to be "We built this city"( on rock and roll). This was Grace in the band called Jefferson Starship.2.My ultimate worst record of all time would have to go to T,Pau "China in your hand".... (Have found some very obscure stuff on ebay, especially rather unusual artistes and bands such as the "Holy Modal Rounders",who are reputed to have had Sam Shephard as one of their members,once).......Why I think that it is very good for getting the more unusual items can be revealed by this following story...Some years ago I went to the largest 2nd-hand record store in the British Isles.I asked them as to why they had nothing by Maria Muldaur."There's just no demand for her stuff"...Yet today,a search on ebay reveals a total of 85 items for sale (from various sellers including international ones)!!Amazing!!
My favourite Bible verse would have to be from Paul's sermon to the Athenians in Acts 17 vs.27,28 "For in Him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said,We are his offspring."...Some people believe that not many people were moved by this sermon in Athens ,but I certainly was when I heard it!!
The internet brings the whole world together as one.....(Remember,God says He has "made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth".Acts 17 v.26).........(And hasn't the terrible tsunami disaster brought the whole world together as one,in our empathy and giving?)...That's all for now,Love and Peace to y'all. In His Name,Eddie....
