| I've always been into painting little folk. I probably should elaborate lest I come across as a pervert. Years and years ago (1981 I think), I was big into the whole FIghting Fantasy, D&D and other such fun pursuits. There was a wonderful, wonderful shop in Cambridge where I live called 'Games and Puzzles' (sadly no longer there :( ), which had hundreds of games to fuel the escapism of a young lad. What really got me excited were the little lead figures which depicted Dragons, Ogres, Barbarians and loads of other wonderful fantasy things. Quite honestly, I loved them, and my pocket money was used up on buying these things. Of course, it was no good just buying them - you had to paint them too. So I did. Very badly. Well, at first. Luckily, and with the aid of various like-minded individuals, we started to get a little better and we just carried on going. It was all great, great fun. |

| In 1991, University called me, and quite honestly all ideas of painting fell by the wayside as me and my chums went off to pastures new. Fast forward 16-odd years to 2007, and the wonders of the internet meant I suddenly found huge amounts of folk who still painted, and what's more painted rather amazingly. I bought some brushes and paints and I haven't look back since. It's been one of the best things I've done for ages - very relaxing, and something which I create, as opposed to most of my hobbies (which seem to revolve around shooting things via a mouse and keyboard, or reading stuff!). Whilst I love painting, I'm never happy - as soon as one piece is done, I move onto the next thing. Seeing as I don't game with them, they basically would just gather dust in the home.
