Peter & Susan

I'm Peter Hopley, proprietor of Acorn Engineering and Acorn Chandlery in Manchester.     I've had a long association with Inland Waterways, and specialise in fit out parts and equipment for all boats, but particualry canal narrowboats.

I'm also a Marine Surveyor, specialising in Steel Narrowboats.   I've also designed Canal Narrowboats and created construction drawings for steel narrowboat hulls back in 1980.   These have launched a lot of boatbuilders, as well as enabling many DIY bulders over the years to realise their dream.

I trade from premises in Denton, through our own website, and via EBAY, all ably asisted by Susan, whom many of you will have spoken to on the phone.
