About My Work
Although pyrography is a very ancient art form, it has evolved quite dramatically with the advent of modern electric specialist machines. A high degree of skill and patience is still required for finely detailed work, but the quality and atmosphere that can be captured is very satisfying.
Over the years I have developed my own technique and style. I take great pride in all my work being extremely detailed and original, and am continually creating fresh designs and concepts.
My love of the natural world is the background to my inspiration. The combination of subject matters from nature with natural materials such as wood or leather imparts a quality of texture and impact that is unique to pyrography.
I am always open to new ideas and will undertake private commissions for pieces large or small designed to meet individual requirements.
