I buy and sell militaria items – mainly medals, badges and mostly German items.

I am based in Staffordshire in the UK.
I am not an expert nor I am I a dealer but have been collecting medals and militaria for over 25 years. The first medals I owned were my grandfathers WW2 stars from his time with the 8th Army in Africa and Italy.
Below are a few lines to describe how I normally operate – and a few tips on how we can do successful business together.

When I Sell Items…
If I know the items to be genuine I will describe them as such. Likewise, if they are quality copies I will say so. If I sell items where I can’t be sure if they are real or copies – again I will say so and let the buyer decide based on the description and pictures.
I will tend to provide detailed pictures to give you the best chance of studying the items.
For payment – I prefer PayPal. I never add any extra charges for this so for the buyer it’s a good method to pay. The main benefit to you as buyer is SPEED. If you pay with Paypal – I will ship the item the next working day. This means that if bidding ends on a Monday – the item will be in the post on Tuesday and may be with you on Wednesday. If you pay by cheque or postal order, then it normally takes 3 or 4 days for your payment to arrive and so extends your waiting time. It’s easy to set up a PayPal account and I strongly recommend it. The benefit for me is that we don’t have to go to the bank many times per week to pay in cheques.
I always pack items securely to minimize any risk of transit damage.
My Policy on Feedback When I’m selling, I like to wait for your feedback first before I give you feedback.
Why?
As the seller, I am always happy with the payment (even if sometimes I don’t make any profit!). So there is no question that you will always get positive feedback if you pay in a reasonably timely manner. However, I have had a few occasions in the past where buyers have not left any feedback even if they have been happy with the items. I also use your feedback to tell me that the item has arrived OK. So as soon as you leave a positive – I will follow the next day.
IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE ITEM IN ANY WAY - JUST MAIL ME AND I WILL SORT IT OUT I am always happy to answer questions by e-mail if you have any doubts about items.
Finally, I would like to thank my wife for putting up with my ebay hobby and helping out with the logistics.
