Trying to treat everyone as if I owned a store and they were at my counter...

I try to conduct business on eBay with a simple philosophy: Treat people the way that you would like to be treated. I will do what I can to earn your trust and will go that extra mile if it means you will feel confident enough to bid from me again in the future. I will make sure that I ship your item as soon as possible and pride myself on exceeding the expectations of those who bid on my items. I won't put an item up for auction (especially when it comes to hats--I owned over 600 at one time) that I wouldn't be comfortable wearing or showing to someone from the moment that I took it out of the box.

I had to explain to my kids what Shinny means, that its like playing pickup basketball, but doing it when you are playing hockey. Having played all my life (making it up to college club hockey) I found that I enjoyed hockey the most when it was just me and my friends having fun, playing for the joy of it, just getting together to play some shinny. I approach selling things on eBay the same way--just enjoying it and hoping that something that I sell brings enjoyment to someone else.
