WHO AM I?
My name is Shirley and I live in Jersey, Channel Islands.
Not a millionaire unfortunately but 'I can dream'.
I came to work a summer season many moons ago and loved the island so much I never went back. A Lancashire Lass by birth, the North of England is still home to me. I visit when I can and scour the charity shops and car-boot sales for items to raise funds on eBay.
THE TORTOISE SANCTUARY
I (with the help of my husband) have The Tortoise Sanctuary in Jersey and am affiliated to the JSPCA (the local RSPCA) I am presently caring for upwards of 100 tortoises of varying species and have 10 clutches of eggs in the incubators.
Because I am not a registered charity I do all the fund raising myself and eBay and I are good friends - lovers almost :o)
ALL PROCEEDS FROM MY AUCTIONS GO TO KEEP THE SANCTUARY AFLOAT.
I have made many friends and keep in touch with many of them. When I get the hang of uploading pictures I will put one in the space provided. Promise!
