Why shop with us you may ask yourself? Well we believe that you, our greatest asset, the customer not only deserves a first class service but should be GIVEN a first class service from the moment you enter our store.
How are you different to other sellers? Every item we sell is covered by the Distance Selling Regulations as well as our own stringent customer services department.
What does this mean to me the buyer? In short it means that we, as a responsible business, acknowledge that it is our legal duty to ensure that any item(s) you order reaches you which gives you, our buyer, piece of mind and the knowledge that if a problem occurs we will endevour to resolve it for you in a timely manner.
Don't all businesses on Ebay do this? No, many of them state "We are not responsible for items once posted", this is not only a cop out but it is also illegal for a business to state this. Now ask yourself if you can trust any business who states this in their listing?
Are there any other differences? Yes, the main one being quality products at very competative prices which gives you a superb deal.
What about your postage charges? We monitor the prices our competitors charge daily and always attempt to offer a cheaper postage price than them.
So if your postage is cheaper than your competitors will I have to wait longer for my goods? Certainly not, ALL our products, with the exception of large bulky items, are despatched to you by 1st CLASS POST as standard. We don't see why you should pay good money for a 2nd class postage service, unlike the majority of our competitors.
SHoP at Bargain Warehouse TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1) Unless otherwise stated posting is 1st class signed for.
2) Payment and checkout to be made within 48 hours of your purchase. (please notify us if you are paying by cheque).
3) If paying by cheque or postal order, We shall require that the cheque / postal order is received and clears before the goods are despatched. (includes e-cheques through Paypal).
4) Bounced cheques will be treated as none payment and fee recovery proceedings shall commence. We shall also treat it as fraud and notify the apprpriate law enforcement agencies.
5) Other than in exceptional circumstances, none payers shall be reported to eBay and a NON PAYMENT STRIKE will be awarded against you.
6) WARNING if you can't pay don't bid!!!!!!!!
7) We will always retain a confirmation of posting slip which is dated and stamped by the post office as proof of posting. We also use Paypal's labeling system which confirms to you the buyer that the postage for your products has been purchased. (Please read note 8).
8) In the unlikely event that your package does not reach we shall provide replacements in the first instance but will also require that you fill in and return to us the LOST IN POST Royal Mail Claim form. Failure on your part to return the completed claim form to us may result in a civil and criminal prosecution for theft. Please be aware that Royal Mail does NOT consider an item lost in the post until the fifteenth day after the expected arrival of the package and hence we may apply the same rule.
9) Postal rates incorporate ALL costs including but not limited to administration, fuel, postal costs and packaging. You are not merely paying for a stamp and our charges are in line with eBay's postal charges policy.
10) Strictly NO personal collections, we are not insured for members of the public to collect from our stock holding premises and therefore all winning bids and buy it now purchases are despatched by post.
11) Package and posting charges will NOT be combined on items won in auctions unless otherwise stated.
12) In making a bid or a purchase in one of our buy it now, auction or shop formats, you agree to be bound by the above terms and conditions.
We always leave non payers a NON PAYMENT STRIKE AFTER taking the following steps:
- You make a purchase from us.
- If you have NOT completed checkout OR failed to pay within 48 hours, we send a polite reminder by email requesting that you complete the checkout process and notify us how you wish to pay. (NP 01 48hr Payment Reminder)
- If on the 7th day you have failed to pay or complete the checkout procedure OR fail to contact us, we will email you to inform you that the non payment process has been started with eBay. At this stage you still have the opportunity to pay or cancel your order and we will leave you positive feedback if you contact us. (NP 02 7th Day Overdue Letter.)
- If after the 12th day you have failed to pay OR respond to our or eBay's emails, you will be sent a 3rd letter requesting payment . This will inform you that this is your final opportunity to pay or mutually withdraw from the transaction before we close the claim with eBay and if no payment is received within the next 48 hours, OR you fail to mutually agree to withdraw from the transaction in the next 48hours, you will be left a non payment strike against your acount by eBay. You will also be added to our banned buyers list. (NP 03 Final Payment Reminder)
- Our 4th and final letter to you will be on the 14th day after your purchase and will be to inform you that as we have received no communication from you in respect of your non payment and despite our previous 3 letters, we will have no alternative other than to close the claim with eBay and that you will be left the following NON PAYMENT STRIKE.
- Many sellers have now changed the requirements for buyers to shop with them. This could mean that if you have received 2 or more NON PAYMENT STRIKES within a 6 month period you will be unable to purchase goods from the majority of sellers on the site.
We feel that the above steps are both fair and justified as we always give the buyer ample opportunity to pay or rescind the purchase. We also remain polite, professional and courteous throughout and we will not tolerate any forms of harrasment or abuse. Please remember, should the need arise to leave a Non Payment Strike due to the above reasons, we will always seek a prosecution should we become the recipients of any abusive comments or actions.
We trust that this explains fully the lengths that we go to to avoid giving negative feedback, but unfortunately sometimes we have no alternative.
DISPUTES:
Unfortunately disputes sometimes arise although we try to do everything we can to avoid a dispute with a customer they are sometimes unavoidable. Before you enter into a dispute with ourselves we would like you to read the following.
WE ALWAYS RETAIN A COPY OF PROOF OF POSTING
We will NOT leave feedback if you complain about P&P charges. If you don't like the price of P&P buy from someone else. P&P is not just the cost of a stamp, it includes packaging costs, travel to and from the post office and complies fully with ebay's policies.
You are more than welcome to try and find a better deal in the high street, after of course you have paid for your own fuel, parking and taken time searching all the shops.
