Over the years, like many collectors, I have managed to accumulate a large amount of items that are duplicates to items already in the collection or are items that do not fit in with the way the collection is being pulled together. (This is what happens when you buy mixed lots – a habit that seems hard to break as I keep doing it).
To further add to the problem, the collections of my father and myself have been combined to form a single collection, so now there are even more duplicates along with all the items he has left over from mixed lots ... (the problems seems to run in the family)…
Training School items listed for sale are surplus from a 30+ volume collection that we formed and from which the reference book on the subject was written. (This book can be downloaded free from the reference section of my site - see the link below). If there are specific items in this field that you are looking for, then please drop me a line and I will see if we have these as duplicates. With these items I have tried to start them below the market price of majour dealers and details are noted in the descriptions.
Items placed for sale will be described to the best of my ability, I will not try and con the buyer and will scan each item, (back and front where necessary), so that a judgement can be made with as much detail as possible. However some of these items are outside of my area of intrest or knowledge, so if there is something you need to know that I have missed on the listing, please just drop me a line and I will provide all the help I can.
In addition to the items I have for sale on Ebay, I have also started a page with other items that I have for sale. These are mainly GB and includes a lot of additional Training School material but there are also items from other contries as well. All payments are via PayPal so you still get buyer protection and every item is scanned so you the buyer can see what you are buying. These items can be seen at my Shrop Stamp Man web-page or by clicking on the banner below
I also maintain a web site for the local society in Shropshire and the link below will show the sort of information and detail that I try to pull together for collectors.
Shropshire Philatelic Society
Some of the most used areas of this site are the Philatelic library, (in the reference section), which has books that can be downloaded in PDF format and the online plating guides and tools for the Penny Blacks, Penny Reds and the Two-Pence Blues.
I leave FEEDBACK as soon as the item is paid for. This I think is the fair way to use the system. In most cases the item is posted on the day feedback is left unless this is late at night ... ( No matter how I try .. they will not open the post office 24/7 !! ). Wednesday afternoons are a problem as the Post Office is only open half day ... In these cases the items go in the post the following morning.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and look at my listings ...
Regards .. ALLAN
