Hi, I'm Linda & I started selling on ebay several years ago and, like topsy, it's grown & grown. I try to give all buyers a personal & fair service. I sometimes make mistakes, we all do. I've even posted something back to myself in error! If you have a problem with something you've purchased from me, please, please speak to me & let's talk about it.
I don't set out to rip people off & I'm proud of the feedback I have. Having said that, I won't be intimidated (yes, it does happen) by people who threaten me with negative feedback if I don't reduce the price of an item.
Comments on "Free P&P" just introduced by Ebay
Ebay are introducing "free P&P" to certain categories of items - they began several months ago by insisting sellers only sell DVDs with "free" P&P & are gradually extending it across all items. Nothing is free. My P&P costs will need to be added to the starting price or Buy it Now price of my items for sale - I hope my customers will understand that.
At the end of the day, this appears to be an opportunity for ebay to increase it's turnover. Previously they charged their final value fees (approx 10%) on just the sale price of an item, but not on the P&P cost. Paypal have always charged sellers a fee for using them, a further 5%. Now, with most items selling for a higher value, without P&P, guess what? Ebay will increase their fees! Oh well, that's life!
