BIDDING

Please note that everyone selling on eBay these days has had to be more careful who they take bids from, despite the fact that (certainly in my experience)  the vast majority of eBayers are good honest folk.  So for the avoidance of any problems for either Buyer or Seller, I won’t take bids under any circumstances from the following:

1.         If you have 2 or more Unpaid Item Strikes within the past 6 months.

2.         You have been subject to 4 or more Breach of eBay Policy Reports in the past 6 months.

3.         You have Feedback of -1 or lower.

4.         You are on my “Blocked Bidders” list ( sorry - once bitten - after that forget it!)

I reserve the right to refuse your bid if you have more than 1 negative feedback in the past 6 months.

If you are new to eBay ( i.e. have a feedback rating or 5 or less) as a courtesy please ask me before bidding.

If you fail to pay within a 7 day period from the time and date of the auction end, unless previously agreed with me the transaction will be cancelled through eBay and a non-paying buyer strike will be issued.

If you are bidding from a non-UK location, please ask me for a shipping cost and any other questions before bidding so the transaction is completely clear.

PAYMENT AND DELIVERY SERVICES

Payment by Bank Transfer/Personal Cheque

If you pay by IBAN Bank Transfer ( which is simple, used in many countries and within the UK,  quick and my preferred payment method) or Personal Cheque,  eBay Buyer and Seller protection is available subject to eBay conditions which can be found at:

I do not accept Bank Drafts, Certified Cheques or Wire Service transfers.

All IBAN payments are to be made in GBP for receipt in full of the invoiced amount.

You are very welcome to collect your item from me, and cash on collection is fine.

Payment by PayPal

Please note that if you are paying by PayPal, having been caught out recently I now only use a postal or courier service that fully complies with their Buyer and Seller Protection Requirements.  These state that any item should only be sent using a delivery service that is tracked, fully insured, and has delivery confirmation.

Items will only be sent to the registered account address held by PayPal if payment is made through PayPal.  Items will not be sent to a third party or to a different name other than that registered with Paypal.

PayPal payers please note that UK Deliveries Sections 1, 2 and 3 will apply. For International Deliveries delivery services detailed in Sections 2 and 3 will apply only.

Delivery Services

Please note that I will not send items by a method that takes longer as quoted than 28 days for delivery ( sorry, that means no International Surface Mail, Paypal or eBay rules don’t allow Seller Protection if it’s used).

Please email me your current telephone contact number if your purchase is being sent by Courier, it is unfortunately not possible now to book Courier collections without this information and shipping will be delayed if you do not do this.  I've found that many buyers forget to update their eBay contact information, this has caused big problems on delivery on many occasions, so I now ask for this information to help all concerned.

UK Deliveries ( full insurance required )

1.         Small Items with a value under £39 will be sent by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or DHL/UPS

2.         Small Items with a value between £39 and under £500 will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery or DHL/UPS

3.         All Items weighing over 2000 gms gross or with a value in excess of £500 will be sent by DHL/UPS

International Deliveries  ( full insurance required )

1.         Items valued under £150 and weighing less than 2000 gms gross will be sent by Royal Mail International Signed For or Courier.  Royal Mail Airsure is available at a small extra cost if tracking is required, please ask.

2.         Items valued between £150 and £500 and weighing less than 2000 gms gross will be sent by trackable Royal Mail Airsure or Courier. 

3.         Items weighing over than 2000 gms gross will be sent by Courier. 

Returns

Returns will be accepted provided notification is received within 7 days of delivery.  If an item has arrived damaged in transit, the Buyer agrees to keep the damaged item and all packing for inspection by the carrier or their agent, providing me with full details of the damage together with pictures and any additional assistance requested so that an insurance claim can be submitted to the delivery service.  I will remit the proceeds of any claim to the Buyer unless the Buyer has already been refunded.

If an item is accepted for return, the cost of returning the item to me which must be by a similar service to that used by me when sending the item is to be paid in all circumstances by the Buyer.
