Welcome to Kelpie's Books, selling all types of books at a price everyone can afford! We specialise in children's fiction, mainly pony, pet (such as Animal Ark), Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Ladybird & Enid Blyton. Also stocked are fiction for adults, dog/other pet non-fiction, videos/DVDs and kids toys!

If you are looking for any particular books, please let me know. I may have them in stock, or if not and I come across them on my travels I will email you with the auction number, no obligation to buy!
My postage charges are always kept as low as possible, and I offer a great postage discount on multiple buys. Items paid for via paypal, postal order or unused postage stamps are always posted on the same day as payment is received if before 12pm, or on the next working day if after 12pm or at the weekend. I aim to provide the best and fastest possible service to my buyers, whether they spend £1, £10 or £100!

Hi, and thanks for visiting my ME page! My name is Ann-Marie, and I am a bookaholic! There, I've admitted it...
I have always loved to read, ever since I was tiny. As a small child, in the seventies, my parents built me a "library" in the space under the stairs consisting of a bookcase full of Ladybird books, a chair and a reading lamp. Frequently I would be caught there late at night having sneaked out of bed to go and read! Pity we didn't have the foresight to keep those books, they are so sought after today! Even though I don't have very much spare time these days, I still get through a book every two or three days. I also collect children's books, mainly pony fiction (due to my other shockingly expensive habit - horses!), and the Ladybird and Medici books of my childhood.

At Kelpies Books, I hope that those who love books as much as I do will find something to interest them. I love it when somebody who has bought a book emails to say how happy they are because they have been looking for that particular one for a while.
My reading habits vary, crime, horror, mystery, supernatural, veterinary, horses, cats, farming, autobiography, humour, and of course children's books (ah, the nostalgia!), pretty much anything except mushy romance! My favourite authors of all time are Monica Edwards, James Herriot, Joyce Stranger and Doreen Tovey.
I'll leave you with a picture of Fly, my beloved lurcher and Kelpie, my Arab cross Highland gelding, who my eBay store is named after.
PS For those who are interested, a Kelpie is not only a breed of Australian sheepdog, it is also the name of an evil Scottish water spirit who appears in the form of a beautiful horse, and lures unsuspecting victims down to the loch in which it lives!
