C & N Bargains Neil pre-stroke as canal barge skipper We are Chrissie and Neil. Two very good friends who were forced to become closer by circumstance. Neil suffered a stroke in May 08 that left him paralysed down one side, and because we already shared a house, I became his full time carer. Chrissie the party animal! Neil couldn't get out of the house much and was getting very bored and fed up with having nothing to do, so we decided to join eBay and do a bit of buying and selling. Initially, it was just a case of getting rid of his old stuff, things like tools that he could no longer use, but gradually we began to see the potential for actually making money! This eBay thing has really changed his outlook on things and I am sure it is one of the reasons why he is getting better every day. It has given him a new lease of life!
